Author: upon returning home after seeing a movie, my husband and I observed a very bright light to the west in the night sky that looked as if it were ‘twinkling’. I am interested in astronomy and know a little about stars and planets. This was no star or planet that I know of and seemed unusual because it was so very bright. It was moving very slowly to the west northwest. Lights were much brighter than those on a any aircraft that I know of. It was maybe 25 degrees above the horizon, although it’s hard to tell because there are a lot of trees in our area.
We went inside and I grabbed my binoculars and we both went back outside to take a look. Through binoculars flashing green, amber and red lights were noted. No shape could be seen, only the lights were visible. There was no sound but that could have been because of distance. It appeared that the lights were changing color, and maybe changing configuration although it was difficult to tell because of the distance. We both watched for a while, then my husband went in the house and I stayed and watched until it disappeared behind the tree line.

just came in from observing a similar sigh after saying goodnight to my boyfriend. it’s about 3am EST. saw it directly through a hole in the tree line while we were hugging…at first glance it looked like a star, but it was moving every so slightly in different directions. to the left. then quickly to the right, up, and slightly down… it sort of reminded me of someone spelling something out with a sparkler, but the light was more concentrated. it appeared to change colors as well, from green to red to orange, possibly even white. several nights ago around the same time observed an object move slowly across the sky. similar colors emitted in a rotating pattern around the object.. best way i can describe it is motion christmas lights, and the way the were running around the object was in a vertical pattern as the object moved horizontally, as if it was a plate turned on it’s side. very strange.
was just coming home from a friends haous about 1am and noticed a very bright flashing star it stayed in the same place with no movment so i got my binoculars and saw it was flashing red green amber white extremly fast it is not a star or a plane it was only when i looked around i found six more can anybody tell me what this is it is truly hard to believe what i am seeing
I live in Southern California and the lights that are spoken of that flash various colors are all over in strategically positioned places in the sky. I recently went to Oregon and the lights are there too…also to mention these are NOT satellites. I have been observing these lights for quite a few months now. I believe our earth is being observed for what purpose I know not. We are being observed and our species is at risk.
A week ago on saturday night my husband and myself saw 6 very bright red lights travelling across the sky from west to east then disappeared it was a clear night and there were stars and planes high in the sky but these were travelling without sound right over us we took film and will download it we have never seen anything like this before we live in west sussex england.
now the second time I have seen these lights. from approximatively same area in the early night sky.Looking over the ocean from Vancouver Island towards the main land. I am writing this with frequent stops to watch them. I am not the only one to see these lights here my 13yr son sees them as-well. Its sept. 28th 2010. Can any of you out there tell me if you have seen the same as us?
I am a big sky watcher at night. Recently I noticed a very, very bright star that I was staring at and I noticed that it was changing color. I swear I could see green, red and white. I went in the house and got my binoculars and could see that the lights where going around the object, very fast, white, green, and red over and over. I went in the house and got my husband and he saw it too. Every night for the past few months I would go outside and see the light but sometimes it would be to the southeast of me (I-25 and Hwy 34, Johnstown, CO) and then sometimes it would be to the southwest. Lately, there have been two of them. They are always in the same spot and I have no idea what they are. One is to the left and one to the right. They do not move. Only the lights spin around because sometimes, I can still see the last color before the next color comes into view. It’s like if you spin something colorful you can sometimes see two colors at once, whether it is green and red or red and white or white and green and so on. I have contacted our local meteorologists by email and no one has gotten back with me. They probably think I’m a nut. But I’m sure the government knows what they are. I once saw a plane fly really close to it. At least I thought it was a plane and I thought to myself that anyone on that plane would have to have seen that thing. Does anyone know if they are weather balloons or something. Are we all seeing the very same ones or are there different ones in every state? I mean, how far away are they? Thanks!
I could copy and paste your account into a new posting, but we’ve seen what you have to the T, with the exception of contacting the meteorologist regarding what we’ve seen. Round Rock,TX Austin, TX area. 9-2010 thru current. Stay encouraged and prayed up.
I cannot believe that I have been a witness of something as “UFO” it is now just before 4:00 am and I was outside smoking my last sigarette before go to sleep when I saw this unusual star.
The sky is not so cloudy 2nite and I thought it should be an elicopter of the police as have been few time already in the night but the strange thing is that for over long time it was still in the some position and that is unusual as the elicopter is always move (at least for what have saw myself) so I went inside to grab my binoculos and I saw red lights and some white flashing and definetely a green one a bit above still. I cannot see any shape due the distance and the dark so I cannot say that I saw a body or something like that but I have obsreved that thing for quit a well until disappear behind the building. I living in WSM near Bristol in UK and the thing was at east. I don’t think was a star due the flashing of the light and I struggle to believe in UFO. May somebody come with a logical answer to it please?

yeah, just saw somthing similar. It was the last ciggerette of the night in my driveway when I nothiced a very bright amber light above the horizon. its 2:00 am here in michigan USA. The light just stayed in one spot for a long while but than moved up in the sky and then left and right, and finnally strait toword me. As it got closer i noticed a red orb of light circulling around it along with blue and green orbs following the same patteren as it went over head i couldent hear any noise. after it passed me it finnally made some noise unlike any plane of helicopter iv heard. and then the lights disapered leaving only a pure white blinking orb in the distance. I then looked back at were it started and saw an object shaped like an airplane following in its path. It was dark but i swear i have never seen this type of plane or heard the noise it made when it passed over me. did a government plane scare off the first light? very weird am reseraching it now for an explantion
