At a friends house in Oregon City, Oregon. sitting around a fire talking. I spotted the Big Dipper and while helping one of my friends locate it …I saw these two very bright starlike lights …sorta looking like one was in front of the other moving very slowly. My friend, who had had trouble locating the dipper then said ‘yeah they are moving’ . We, the five of us, watched as the lights sort of spiraled upward into the sky and dimmed as they appeared to go up.They seemed at one point to have a dull light connection between them. They continued to slowly rise and spiral and then dimmed to the point where we could no longer see them. The whole event was approximately 3 to 5 min. in duration. I attempted to video it on my cell phone camera but, it didnt show up.
At 9pm EDT, Three men standing on W facing patio of Lambda Chi Alpha chapter house. Two orbs of orange (they were described to me as orange; I am partially colorblind), brilliant light rose from WNW horizon above the tree line (which is at just less than one handlength for me, so approx 8 degrees) in between NW facing corner of greenwood suites and S side of Coulter house. I was positioned approx two feet N of room ten window.
Orbs rose quickly, in fashion that appeared faster than typical plane speed. They were glowing like stars–or more closely, nearby planets like mars or venus, although they were even bigger than those–and did not like planes blink so much as shine and glow like distant fire.
Most startling was their motion: as they ascended, they moved left and right, one after another. They at times came near each other’s angular position but never truly crossed paths. When they began, the higher orb was just above and right of the lower one, no more than 45 degrees in relation to the lower one. As they moved left and right, the lower orb neared being direclty below or even on top of the upper orb. Their left and right motions were similar in speed but not constant; an upward movement of one space right (or left) could be followed by a movement ofthree or four spaces left.
Their overall motion began between Greewood suites and Coulter, and ended roughly over the middle of coulter. At a height of around 3 to 3.5 handlengths (I did multiple handlength measurements during the event) the orbs began to fade, eventually disappearing as they rose into a deck of mid to high level clouds (from my juggement, stratocumulus clouds, with some cirrostratus above and possibly altocumulus).
The sighting of the orbs elicited fantastic reactions by all involved;all were startled and engrossed instantly. Photographs were obtained by a few people; I can provide them later, but I can;t attach them now, as the people with the pictures are not at this computer). The event lasted probably 1 to 2 minutes ( my friend has timed photographs that can better answer the duration of the event)
I can say with full confidence that the two objects moved in ways dissimilar to any plane or flying object I have ever seen, and that their color, size and briallance was equally unusual. Nonetheless, their movement was not incongruent with the possible motions of human aircraft. My friends who were witnesses are ecstatic right now, marveling about how they have sen a UFO and making claims about it being a non-human space craft, but I am assuring them that there is probably a basic, boring explanation. Simply put: I can’t explain what I saw

Saw the light at first wondered if it was a helicopter, clearly saw it wasn’t, stopped vehicle to watch it, it started turning to red and made a square formation then disappeared. Was positive it was not something of ours as we have an airport as well as an air force base nearby and often watch their crafts. This was nothing I have seen before.

My brother and I were driving home in the early morning, and entering the town of Portsmouth, Iowa. We were about half a mile from the town when I noticed a green light, similar to an ‘orb’, in the sky. It seemed to be far away, but within a mile of the earth’s ground. After a few seconds of hovering, it started moving upwards, and took a sharp turn towards the ground where it made a curved path towards the ground. But not curved towards the earth like an asteroid/comet/meteor would make when being pulled in by gravity. The object made a curved motion going the opposite direction of gravity. After a few seconds the object completely disappeared. There were no trees or hills that it could have disappeared over, so it was unmistakenably just ‘disappearing into thin air.’
This isn’t the first time we have seen something paranormal in this area, but nothing to these measures.
Both of us were very emotional over the object, and could barely speak about what we saw. We both agreed that this is something we can’t speak to anyone about, except maybe a professional, as most would dismiss this as being ‘crazy’, or something along those lines.

I was out on my back porch deck between 9:05pm and 9:25pm smoking a cigarette. I did not have any alcohol in my system, only nicotine and Diet Coke … and some Cheetos possibly. The night was very clear, no wind, visible stars … very peaceful outside.
I sat down on my deck chair, and I was looking up eastwards at the sky. I immediately saw, what I thought was a shooting star, going from the north to the south. I have seen a couple of shooting stars before, and they have always gone in a downward motion – and from a great distance. What I saw this night was not that.
It appeared out of nowhere and then traveled from north to south in about a 30 degree upward motion. It was VERY quick. And it wasn’t “as high” as the stars. It appeared to be around the same distance as a plane would be flying. By this I mean not as high as when planes reach their cruising altitude. The object was around 3/4 of the way up from cruising altitude. But it was definitely NOT a plane. Also, there was absolutely NO sound whatsoever. If it had been a plane, I would have heard it ? even if faintly. And, I would have seen a plane continue on its path. This did not happen at all.
What really threw me through a loop was that it had a vapor trail that appeared a few milliseconds after I saw it shoot upward. The vapor trail appeared ?*almost* at the same time as the object appeared but not quite.
The vapor trail went the same distance as the object and disappeared immediately, as did the object. Unlike when I have seen military jets or even passenger planes fly overhead, they emit a vapor trail that stays in the sky for a few seconds to even minutes. This one disappeared IMMEDIATELY.
Of the shooting stars I have seen in the past, I never have seen one with a vapor trail. Real shooting stars were always so far up in the sky that I wouldn’t be able to see a vapor trail if it had one. Add to the fact that of the shooting stars I have seen, they last a few seconds longer than this one did. And I could follow their path easily with my eyes. This object, and its trail, came and went almost at the same time ? it ?popped? out of now where and then *poof* it was gone.
After I saw this object, I sat there quite stunned. I thought to myself, ?Did I just see what I thought I saw? No way! But I saw it. With both eyes wide open. And NO ONE is going to believe me.? I sat outside, still staring up in the same direction, hoping to see a glimpse of it again. Nothing ever came.
I blogged my encounter on Facebook and had a couple of friends ?console? me stating they have seen unexplained objects in the sky before as well. I was hoping someone in Tulsa had also seen what I just saw. No one did, or if they did, they ain?t opening their mouths.
I contemplated just chalking this up as an encounter for just me, myself and I. But I have had this nagging feeling to tell someone who wouldn?t think I am crazy or, more importantly, had other witnesses in Tulsa on the same night and time, report a similar sighting.
That?s what I saw, that?s how I felt/feel and that?s my encounter.

I first noticed the UFO from an upstairs window with a panoramic view of the western and northern skies, which were clear with good visibility. At 12:20 p.m., I spotted a brightly luminous object steadily moving from the northwest toward the skies over my house, but at what seemed a fairly high altitude. My best “guestimate” about the distance it covered, from the point I first saw it to the point it disappeared, is perhaps 15 miles.
I live near a small airfield (Gillespie Field, El Cajon), so I am accustomed to seeing light aircraft and copters from different angles an on different paths of approach; however, this object did not take on the recognizable shape of aircraft commonly seen over El Cajon. Although I expected it to become recognizable as a helicopter, instead it retained its star-like, spherical shape and intensified in brightness as it drew closer. After it glided eastward, I considered it might be a weather balloon, but it seemed to slow down and “park” in the skies almost directly overhead (very slightly northwest of me). I observed the object through windows with seamed panels and used these like cross-hairs to see if the object were wavering or if it were actually moving slowly away, but it wasn’t. It just looked like it had come to a complete stop. There it remained, overhead, in the same stationary position, for about three minutes, where its general brightness and size resembled that of Venus (but, of course, against the bright blue of noonday). In the last thirty seconds or so, it faded from view but, once again, without moving in any direction. Rather, it seemed to diminish from the sky as if it were traveling upward and out of view. By 12:15 p.m., the event had ended.
Sadly, I didn’t have a camera within reach and didn’t risk leaving to retrieve one in case I lost sight of the object; if it moved, I wanted to witness that as well. All I have is this eyewitness account, unfortunately. I’m hoping other people saw this “broad daylight” event and reported it.

These have been occurring over the past weeks. They look almost like stars but are slightly discolored or over colored and they stay stationary for a while and then you can start seeing a slight movement then speed up and appear to go up away from earth towards upper atmosphere and disappear. The latest happen on Monday 5/9/10 it was in the Northwest section and I thought it was a star at first but it was way to bright and way to big where you could see it point out at the edges like a star shape slightly registering intensity and stayed staionary with a slight dip down after a 1 1/2 hours towards the horizon. It might have been something orbiting the earth manmade (never saw this before) but it was definitely not a plane or helicopter did not know if anyone else has seen it. To see something that bright in the city is weird because of the light sources from all the buildings and street lights and cars. Last night walking the dog at 11:00 p.m. saw another star speed up and looked like it was going straight up into the sky again. Is anyone else seeing this? I have a picture with points of reference as to where the stationary bright light was so it can be identified with known stars or anything orbiting the earth if interested or rule that out as a possibility..

About 20 o’clock. Clear sky.
My father was walking in the street (in Rome)and adverted my mother by phone of a strange event in the sky.
Some minutes after, my mother my brother and I were looking toward the sky (in direction North North-West) in the balcony at first floor of our flat.
We everybody have seen what we never saw before: some spheres, emitting light of red colour with nuances orange.
I saw only 2 spheres, but my father who was the first to see the event talked about 7 spheres at least. So the entire phenomena could be dured several minutes.
The strange spheres seemed to be enough far from us, perhaps one Kilometer or more, (the sky was very clear), so their dimension was very small from our point of view, but clearly distinguishable from any other known flying object.
Another thing appear very strange: despite the distance the lights were no flashing or blinking but were fixed.
These spheres had a slow ascendent movement and at last vanished in the blu deep of the sky.
