Time: Approx: 12:00 a.m.
I have just come in from, you guessed it, watching fire-works and I also saw a red light moving across the sky.
I’m in central Alberta, Canada and it’s just past midnight on New Years 2013.
I couldn’t gauge the altitude. At first I thought it was an airplane, but as it drew nearer I noticed there was no blinking and no sound. I am a pilot and know an aircraft when I see one.
This was no aircraft. Not one that I could fly anyway. Interesting that the common theme to these sightings is fire-works. Hmmm.

20 or so glowing golden orb-like lights traveling from west to east turning south and fading in the distance. Local fireworks were winding down. I was in the front yard by the street talking to a neighbor. I saw these very bright lights coming from the west through the trees. They were even brighter than say the ISS when it is coming up over the horizon. The lights(orbs?), were randomly spaced apart it would seem,(see video). They would continue heading east for a couple of minutes, traveling very slowly, and then they would seem to turn and head south till they faded from view. The video is pretty poor, the turning and heading south is not picked up on the video. Someone in Southern Cal., also posted a very similar event that occurred at the exact time, 350 miles away. The objects I saw were approx. 8-10 degrees above the horizon only. If the objects that I saw are the same objects videoed in Carson Cal., I believe that would mean that they were “very” high. But I don’t know.
My neighbor and I were sitting outside watching fireworks. At 10PM we saw a steady round glow, which appeared to be yellowish in the center and surrounded by a red or orangish glow, larger than a star, steadily moving across the sky from east to southwest, to the south of us. Then we lost sight of it, as it got further away, whether it was too high up or too far west, we don’t know. It was odd, definitely not two or more lights which appear on planes. We were fascinated with the sighting and discussing it, wondering what it was. We continued watching the fireworks, then almost exactly 15 minutes later, @ 10:15PM, another object identical to the first, appeared, traveling from the east (it appeared to come from the same exact direction as the first) traveling to the west, this time not as far to the south of us as the first object. Once again, it disappeared as it got further away. Then fifteen minutes later (10:30PM), another identical object appeared, this time going right over us. Then two more objects appeared one at a time within the next 5 minutes, each one traveling further to the northwest of us than the last. 10:30PM was the last sighting. We continued watching until about 11:10PM and did not see any other objects. On each occasion, the one preceding it would disappear before the next one would appear.

I was in bed but not asleep in one upstairs bedroom. My partner was downstairs watching eleven oclock late news. At 11:50pm on June 28, 2011 he came upstairs to go to bed in room on opposite side of house. He heard a truck sound and since we live across from a park we have had some vandalism and so he got up and opened the blinds to look at the street which is visible from the bedroom window. He looked up and over the rooftop of the house beside us three orange balls in a straight line with one trailing behind (created a triangle look) were approching our home at a very low altitude..around 500 ft or so…a height that our police helicopters fly often. He yelled at me and I rushed to the room and saw the objects. I said lets go outside to see if there is any noise. We rushed downstairs and ran outside. He said to me this can’t be a plane the back ball is too far back, could it be helicopters flying together? I didn’t think so, because they were orange balls. I said lets get outside to see if there is any sound. The formation turned slightly to the right as they went over the neighbors home and we watched from the patio as they moved by. There was absolutely no sound and they did not vary from the formation as they slowly moved across the back yard area and over the homes that surround my back yard and slowly we lost sight of them as they moved on. We were so shocked that as I had gone back into the house and gotten my camera and tried to take a picture I had the flash on and all you could see was the umbrella in the foreground of the shot. Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. We were so amazed and really somewhat frightened we could not sleep for hours. I called the police department, airport tower and a television station to see if anyone else had seen this unbelievable sight since it was flying so slow and so low, but at that time which was around 12:30am on June 29, 2011 no one had apparently called them.
My daughter and I were watching a strange light on a mountaintop just beyond the foothills across the valley from us to the east. It’s some reflective something that doesn’t belong there, and we’ve watched it off and on since last year. While we were sitting on the porch, a big black smoking ball came into view from the north, just over the foothills but in front of the mountain where the light was–approximately 2-3 miles away. It trailed black smoke or vapor, stuttered up a bit and down a bit as it flew slowly across, the trail of smoke following it like a snake. It passed behind a tree just across the highway from here, and we fully expected to see it come out the other side above/behind the hills, but it never did. So it must have gone down just beyond those hills. No sound. Nada.
If I were to guess its size at a 2-3 mile distance, I’d say it was easily 150-300ft in diameter, not including the tail of smoke. The light on the mountaintop beyond it disappeared while we were watching the black ball, though there was still enough sun to reflect. Odd. Really REALLY odd.
we were testing some new camera equipment and looking up in the sky and noticed the spheres traveling in a southwest direction directly overhead coming generally from the northeast to the southwest. In all we seen at least 6 and did film 4. Of all that we saw in the 20 minutes or so period only one traveled in a northernly direction. They all traveled consistantly and maintained regular flight path. None left contrails or had any flashing lights or strobes. Typical jet airliners were also observed and clearly displayed flashing lights and strobes and contrails on the higher altitude jets.
I have filed other reports recently and was not going to file another but decided to do so, just for that fact that there is something going on up there and it needs to be documented. I can nearly walk outside any night that the skies are clear and see craft with no flashing lights or strobes.
My location is about 70 -100 miles outside of Chicago in a rural setting.
You can see in the video that 1 or 2 of the craft seen to flare up extra bright and then go dim. I dont believe these are satelites just becase four passed over in the same flight paths in a matter of minutes. Also satelite flare outs (Bright to dim) happens when the solar panel escape the setting sun. These flare ups went from bright to dim and back and some were dim to bright. Also some of the brighter craft could not be seen with the naked eye.
In addition to the craft I filmed, one craft raced the entire horizon east to west in about 3-5 seconds, it moved so fast that I could not get the camera on it. It let 3 lights pulses out that were very very bright and intense. Its last bright pulse light the sky up briefly light a very bright lignting flash.
I was driving west on highway 12 . Sky and visibility were clear . Wind was typical 10 to 15 mph and on shore . Noticed a round shiny thingy(?) traveling app. north to south at a pretty good rate of speed over a hundred miles an hour (?). Size may have been 20 to 40 feet in diameter and guessing the altitude at about 15-2500 feet . What struck me was how fast it was moving and as it was moving in a straight line against the wind .Not a ballon , plane or jet . I was only able to see it and clearly for 10-15 seconds before it was no longer visible. Don’t know what I saw but no ballon travels AGAINST the wind ! Anyways ,happy fathers day to all .
