I saw them last night too (November 15, 2012) at approximately 9:00 p.m. Riverdale and Carlaw area. Same situation.

Time: 9:56 p.m.
I was trying to get a photo of Jupiter, as through my binoculars I could see the moons orbiting around it.
I pulled out my camera, attached it to the tripod and took a photo. Saw a weird bar in the photo so I took it again without moving the tripod.
This time the bar had moved. We went inside to download it onto the computer so we could zoom in more, and sure enough we had a photo of what looked like flatten DNA flying through the sky!

So strange. I have written a few times before in regard to the Fireballs over the lake.
This I wasn’t expecting to see. Photos to come.
This happened at 9:56 p.m. on October 25th 2012 in Toronto Ontario, in the water in Lake Ontario in front of Bluffer’s Beach.
Brian, please email me back and let me know if it worked and what you think it is. My brother’s convinced it’s a satellite.
I’m not so convinced with all the ORB action we have in front of us.

Additional Information:
My photo was taken on a tripod with a remote control timer, so there shouldn’t be too much shake.
That being said, I think the exposure was about 5-7 seconds.
This craft wasn’t too far from our orb location, which I honestly believe is an underwater base.
I know that sounds crazy, but I’ve seen too much weird stuff happening in the exact same spot over the year.

Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m.
Hi Brian, back in 1980 I saw with my brother from my Toronto Apartment on the 18th floor looking south towards Lake Ontario what appeared to be a perfect vivid white ball in the sky just above lake Ontario.
This white ball was hovering and moving in a square pattern and we just asked, what the heck is it, then in about 5 minutes of watching this ball it came to a sudden stop and within 10 seconds and it just zoomed off in a blink of an eye, no trails and no glare, but you could see that it was like it took off before it vanished.
In about another 5 minutes later we heard and saw 2 air force jets head towards the area that we saw the white ball. Many people saw this sighting since it was reported on the local radio news, but no explanation or follow up was given.
Never heard anything more about it after that. Once in awhile I hear UFO stories and it brings me back to that time in 1980 and wondering what the heck that white ball was. I am sure that it was not ball lightning, no cloud or storm in sight, the time was about 11:00 p.m. EDT.
At the time I was 21 years old and I really did not have much interest in UFO’s and never did any follow up on my own. Makes you wonder if they are from out of this world or not.
I could understand why astronomers cannot see them since once they zoom off they disappear in a blink of an eye, like the Enterprise does when it goes into warp, best description I can come up with.

Time: Evening.
I was at Spadina and DuPont last night and saw two bright orange orbs traveling (I believe) east not west. They were side by side when we first saw them and slowly drifted apart as the went over head.
They seemed to look like meteors and as they went overhead they either burnt out or the orange was not visible from the bottom.
You could still see them though. Like giant rocks slowly floating through the sky. Most defiantly the strangler thing I have seen in the sky. Simply amazing.

Hi Brian, I was walking out of the YMCA, along 931 College Street, on October 4, 2012 at around 9:30 p.m., and I happened to see amongst other discernible airplanes, roughly 15 or so orange/red orb like things, just casually flying easterly.
They weren’t in any hurry and like you mentioned there were a couple of stragglers. I have never seen anything remotely like it so I wanted to see if anyone else had. Your blog came up. If you hear anything more about what they are, please let me know. Regards.

I’m glad that this was posted today so that I might share a similar sighting:
Date: October 4, 2012
Time: In the late evening, before 10:15 pm, perhaps around 9:45 p.m.
Number: multiple
Shape: Orange/red lights
Location of sighting: Looking south from the North side of Christie Pitts, Toronto
Potential location of UFOs: over Lake Ontario/South Toronto; perhaps Parkdale, Liberty Village, Lake Shore
Duration: ~4 minutes
3 witnesses saw multiple (at least 10) orange/red orbs in the sky coming from the SW, heading NE.
They moved at different speeds and slightly different directions. There was no discernible sound. The orbs then changed direction and speed many times over smaller trajectories.
They continued to move in different directions, seemingly distributed randomly (perhaps more were appearing?). At this point I ran inside to grab my glasses, and upon return the orbs were still making random movements.
This continued for about 2 more minutes, then some moved west while others went southeast and then disappeared. Stragglers seemed to come from the west, change directions and disappear west a few minutes later.
Wow! We just felt total awe. We were trying to make sense of it, but all agreed that it was like nothing we had ever seen before.
