Date: Late September 2011
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.
Number of witnesses: 6-7 people.
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Yellow-orange object.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: After a night of sushi and live music us and some friends of ours were leaving the local sushi hub at about 10:00 p.m. when we spotted what seemed to be a yellow/orange fireball/orb in the sky.
It was a pretty clear night, but as we live in a very polluted city seeing stars in city limits is a rarity. Nonetheless, the object was very clear and seemed to be rather close to our group, approximately 50 feet (really can’t be sure) in the air.
The UFO moved quite leisurely across the sky, it was moving at a very slow pace. So slow, in fact, that we were able to, as a group, follow the orb around town.
It slowly meandered over top of the downtown core making its way eventually to the cut banks across the river and faded out over the forest.
We were all really surprised at what we had just seen, some speculated that it could be easily explained and others (us) theorized it was a dragon, but the truth is, none of us know what it was.

On the night of July 10th 2011 at approximately 10:30 p.m. in Durant, Oklahoma my son Zakk and wife Bonnie called for me to come outside to observe some strange phenomina located just a few degrees east of the 3/4 wanning moon. It appeared to be some sort of chemtrail or other bizzare cloud formation coming from the south and trailing to the north.
I told them my thoughts on this being that I have studied astronomy and have made a hobby of telescope observations for some 25 yrs. I also have 20 yrs in Law Enforcement and Security training. We watched the hot summer skies for a few moments and then we all returned inside, as I was heading in, my wife said “don’t forget the trash”, as all wifes are good at…
At approximately 10:45 p.m. I had gathered the trash and was heading out the front door which faces due East. As I approached the trash can by the road I noticed a bright reddish light coming through the trees accross the street. I first thought that it was various electric pole lights shining through. I noticed that it seemed to be moving at a fairly slow speed, that of a helicopter, we live close to the hospital and always see and hear Lifeflight choppers coming in to the hospital. This was different, it had no sound which I was listening for and was a fireball, twice the size of Antares the red star of Scorpio. I would estimate 25 feet in diameter. I paused a few seconds waiting as usual to see it desentigrate, it continued on its flight path from beyound the tree in the East heading at a slow pace toward the Northwest. I then realized this was something unusual, dropped the trash and ran in the house, I told my son who was at the computer to get his mom (she was in bed)and hurry to come outside. I then returned after 5 seconds or so expecting the object to be gone, I noticed that it was still heading in the same direction only slightly dimmer. My Wife and son and I watched as it vanished into the Northwest horizon, my wife and I were saying that it appeared to be a plane or some object on fire? but “no sound”? my wife then said this has been a weird night which my son and I agreed. We then observed in the same location to the East another fireball object from behind the same tree heading in the same flight path ‘no sound;. As I was explaining to my wife the events, we all three noticed another silvery object shoot by from East to West at the blink of an eye. My Wife and I have spent numoruos nights observing the Leoniods meteor showers and others throughout the years and have never seen these events.
We all felt excited and in ahh to have witnessed this event.
These events are as accurate and honost to the best of my abilities.
We made no 911 calls for we believe noone was in danger and for the fear of being rediculed.
Thank you,
Ron Gilmore
July 11th 2011
Upon exiting my garage to enter the house, I stepped onto my back stoop. I looked up and to my right toward the northern sky (I’m not certain what drew my attention) and then immediately I observed three bright amber orbs in an isosceles triangle formation. Only sky was apparent between the orbs. The triangle/orbs slowly, silently moved roughly W-NW in the direction of US 41. The object(s) were north of my location at an indeterminate distance in the sky, although the size of the triangle form suggested a relatively low-flying orbs or very massive if a high-flying ‘solid’ craft; I could not discern which. The triangle shape seemed tilted, perhaps 15-20 degrees, with the northern-most orb lower. I called to my wife and sister-in-law, whom were in the house, to come out and see. We observed the orbs for a brief period, perhaps no more than thirty seconds, while the orbs gradually (perhaps 6-7 seconds per orb), individually dimmed and seemed to “go out” beginning with the most distant, followed by the “front”, narrow end, and finally the ‘closest’. The orbs did not stop their slow W-NW movement during this period. I walked a short distance down the alley behind the house because a large tree obscured my vision of the sky within which the object(s) would have moved if they had followed the same trajectory after going out; however, I saw only stars. There was no sign of the object(s), no contrails, smoke, vapor, clouds, only stars. Despite the brevity of this sighting, these orbs did not appear to be conventional aircraft, stars, planets, flares, fireworks or distant lights from structures. There was smoke, no differential intensity of light besides the controlled dimming effect, and they did not seem to lose altitude or distortion of overall shape. The orbs moved in conjunction as if attached to a solid triangular shape or as if flying in a steady formation. I had no unusual sensations or thoughts during the sighting, only curiosity and then astonishment. I did not have time to grab my camera or cell phone to get a picture.
My friend and I were in my apartment and she said “what is that?” She said it seem to come out of the sky all of a sudden, not from somewhere in the sky, but like out of a wormhole. So we went out on my patio and in the sky we saw a fireball like thing. At first I thought of a plane unfire. But it kept moving and was really moving fast. It was not like it was being carried by the wind. It was moving to fast. I called my brother who in MUFON and he thought of a Chinese Lantern. I dont think so as it was moving to fast. It was very bright red and the fire was pulsating like a fire would be. Not just a fire in the chinese lantern. What ever it was was sure unfire and really moving. We were really scared because we thought someone was in trouble, and also why was it suddenly appearing like that?
My Mother’s friend Marsha and I were sitting on my family’s pontoon boat that was docked on our pier in front of our cottage on Hudson Lake, which is located in northwest Indiana. We were sitting out there for about 15 minutes watching the fireworks, as it was July 3rd and fireworks of all shapes & sizes were going off around the lake & in nearby towns – all of which are visible from the water. Then out of the corner of my eye I spotted a very odd looking object coming in slowly from the West. I noticed it because even from far away it looked like a ball of fire floating in the sky. Marsha completely agreed that it was not fireworks (and no, we were not drinking). We just sat there and watched it slowly move closer and closer, until finally it was hovering directly over the middle of Hudson Lake. It hovered there for about a minute. As it got closer, it appeared to be more rectangle in shape and the inside of it gave off a brilliant red flame-like glow, while the outer edge appeared to be grey. It had no propellers & no wings, in fact, it had no appendages at all. After the object hovered for a minute, it made a complete right turn and headed South…slowly at first, but then after about 30 seconds it sped way up, and poof it was gone. Both Marsha & I knew without question that it was a UFO. I knew it from the second I laid eyes on it…I mean, I look at the sky all the time & in my 38 years had NEVER seen anything even remotely close to it. Marsha is much older me, and she too said that she’d never seen anything like it & completely agreed with me in my assessment. The whole time we were watching it, we just kept saying to each other, can you believe what we are seeing?!?! My Mother then came down to the boat & we explained to her that we had just seen a UFO. She brushed us off, said we were CRAZY…that it had to have been fireworks. I assured her that fireworks don’t travel horizontally slowly for miles & then hover in one spot & then make 45 degree turns & continue traveling in another direction. Strange thing though, about an hour later – when both Marsha & I were no longer around – my Mother and Aunt Donna said they saw the exact same thing from our deck (which overlooks our pier & Hudson Lake). However, they said the object came in from the South (which is the last direction Marsha and I saw it traveling). They said it came in slowly, and that it then hovered over the middle of the lake. However, this time it appeared to be a green ball of fire, not red. They said that after about a minute of hovering, a smaller oval looking ball of green fire descended from it, and when it did, there appeared to be yellow rope-like strings attached to it from the main object. They said the smaller object hovered for a moment below the larger one, and then plunged very fast into the lake & disappeared. The main larger green fire-like object then turned left and headed back out West towards LaPorte, IN. Both said they have absolutely no idea what it is that they saw…nor are they able to explain it or make any sense of it. And I told them, “Hence the term UFO.” Also, I asked our lawn boy (John K.) when he came by this morning if he happened to see anything strange in the sky the night of July 3rd. He said, yes, in fact he did. He was watching the fireworks with a friend that night from Hudson Lake’s public beach, and he said they both noticed what looked to be a bright moving fireball in the sky…but then they lost sight of it, and just started watching the fireworks again. He said they weren’t sure what it was.
