This video represents an overview of some of the photographs and films taken recently to reproduce the pictures and movies created by Billy Meier in Switzerland in the mid seventies – as closely as locations allow. If you don’t live in Switzerland you won’t get mountains in the background making it all look very dramatic. Many of the films shown here have not been shown before and give a very real sense of the false perspective trickery that can be acheived with a camera. The models shown floating around on fishing line are 13″ wide and replicate the early type of “beamships” presented by Billy Meier as coming from a star system beyond the Pleiades. The Wedding Cake UFO model is 17″ across and isn’t suspended often at all because it’s a bit heavy and fragile. If it drops and smashes into the floor you have to start all over again! The best method for taking pictures with that is to hook it onto a pole or a small tree trunk – hence many pictures of it will be right up against a tree. If it’s on a pole you can’t show the underside properly or it will give it away – hence that’s what we see in Meier’s pictures of it outside his own frontdoor! Why did I do this? God knows! Seriously though, I was challenged by the PR man for the Billy Meier case to reproduce something – so I did. It’s that simple. I didn’t really go to town on it at all because once you’ve built the model, with simple things, all you have to do is point a camera at it while it’s suspended from tree branches …
