Full Description of Event/Sighting: At approximately 2300hrs March 16th, 2013 we walked out my door facing west in Victoria West and saw groups of approximately 8 at a time of bright lights in the sky.
The lights were orange/red in color, and very bright and fast moving. Several lights seemed to stop for periods of time and resume movement, with no change in altitude. Others executed 90 degree turns. Approximately 30+ lights moved across the sky over a period of about 10 minutes.

We also saw several of these orange/red lights on Lakeshore Drive, while watching Canada Day Fireworks.
I would say a good 200 people witnessed these lights. Incredible!

Time: Around midnight.
Hello, my son saw three large glowing orbs New Years Eve in Amherst, NS around midnight when he took the dog out.
They came from West Amherst and went in a northeasterly direction. They were quiet.
At first he thought they might have been fireworks, but not the way they moved.
It was in an orderly fashion, the first two were more orangey in color and the last was more red. He heard other people on the street over yelling about the phenomenon, too.

Time: 12:15 a.m.
Hello, me and my friend stepped outside after the New Years count down last night and saw something very bizarre.
It was over cast sky last night and no other lights, stars, planets etc., could be seen. We where in Gordon Head it was 12:15 a.m. on January 1, 2013.
There was a orange/red light that came into view from behind a big oak tree that was moving on a horizontal flight path north east to south west heading for Washington State directly over the Straight Of Jaun De Fuca.
There was no noise of any kind that we could hear. The object was travelling at a constant velocity and then began to slow down and stop completely. After a time period of no more than 60 seconds the light proceeded to fade away completely.
Me and my friend then had a 30 second conversation trying to figure out what the object was that we just witnessed. The light resembled a sodium vapored street lamp and had no strobing effect as a commercial commuter plane would.
This traveling light in the sky by itself probed our curiosity, but what happened next has left us quite confused.
A second object emitting the same amount of light, became visible in the tree line. This object was on an identical flight path, and possessed the exact same velocity as the first object.
It mimicked the flight path of the first sighting and came to rest in the same section of sky as the first object. It then began to fade away behaving identically to the first object. Then this happened for a third time. We made identical observations every time.
The light would come into view from being blocked by the tree we where standing beside, stop at the exact same spot, and then fade out.
My theory is that this could have been a plane that was traveling in a circular flight path following co-ordinates form a GPS and that would explain why we witnessed identical flight paths. Still, that wouldn’t explain why it stopped and behaved the way it did.
Planes don’t stop suddenly and proceed to fade into the distance. I am not sure if the objects physically faded away, or travelled in the direction exactly opposite to us which might have created the illusion of fading out or crossing over into the cover of the clouds.
Weather the object travelled away from us or faded physically is something that
I am not 100% sure of.
Planes don’t act like this, low orbiting satellites don’t act like this, fireworks form a new years celebration don’t act like this and could not explain what we saw. I have cellphone video of the second and third objects but it is hard to see the movement relative to the sky and ground but everything else is as described. ‘
This is the most bizarre thing I have ever witnessed in the night sky. Please email me back with any questions as I am as curious as you are.

I was cleaning out my car while I noticed strange orange/red lights in formation in the sky.
Firstly I found the formation rather strange because it reminded me of Orion’s Belt, however it was low and moving.
Secondly there were no red/white lights as seen under an airplane.
There was no sound either. The location where they were noticed is not a flight path either.
The lights almost seemed to be fire-coloured, as if the flames fuelling a rocket.
Over time some of the red/orange lights disappeared and seemed to move up above the clouds rapidly, as if ascending vertically. I believe that during the course of recording the video that you can observe such a phenomenon.
If I recall correctly when I first saw them there were about 9 such lights.

Time: Around 9:40 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.
Good morning, I and about 6 neighbors witnessed something last night at around 9:40-9:45 Pm. on December 17, 2012.
I only saw the last portion of it, but here is what I witnessed. I stepped out to walk my dog at approximately 9:40 p.m.
As soon as I got out, I noticed a car stopped in the middle of the road to my left a couple houses.
The lady driver had her door open and was looking up and yelling. I thought she was just calling to a neighbour.
I turned right and walked the dog a bit. The dog didn’t want to walk, so after maybe 4 minutes, I turned around and started back home, that’s when I saw the bright orange/red light pretty much stationary in the sky above and behind the car parked in the middle of the road still.
It was memorizing. The lady saw me and asked if I saw it, another fellow walking a dog said he had seen the light go from basically one horizon, straight overhead, and it was now appeared stopped over a field behind this car.
Fairly high, but I had no reference points. He said it made no sound. I asked if it could be a satellite, he said no, it was way to low for that. I dropped the dog off in the house, got my wife and she witnessed it too.
By now it started moving away from us. We viewed it for a few more minutes until it was behind some clouds.
There were about 6 of us who saw this. One fellow just said “it’s evil”.
None of us heard any noises like it would be a plane etc. At all times it maintained the same orange/red glow. Very bright.
At first I thought it was an indicator light on a helicopter, but I never saw the green or white that would also be on such. Also, seeing the red only, the helicopter would have to have travelled sideways, and it would have been green approaching us.
Just wondering if there were any other sighting reported for this sighting.
For what it’s worth, the direction of travel was approximately SSW to NNE.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: At that time I was called out by my sister to see something outside. When I got there, there were 5 reddish/orange objects flying together from west to east in no discernable formation.
The were light fine flurries falling at the time and they disappeared in the haze.
They appeared to be lower than the ISS. But they seemed to be flying much faster.
I know if they were lower they would just seem to be flying faster, but from horizon until they faded was faster than the ISS.

Time: Evening.
I too saw these orange/red lights over Newmarket last night at the same time, along with my children and neighbours. They all travelled along the same flight path and the last 3 were in the formation of a triangle.
After my neighbours went inside, my daughter and I stayed out longer and around 8:15 we saw one last final bright orange/red light going across the same flight path.
Then while standing and watching the night sky, a flying comet (or something) flew past our heads very low to the ground. It had a long tail and was a grey colour. What an interesting evening we had!

Yes I saw the same thing on September 3, 2012 at about 9:00 p.m. It did look like a clear balloon with orange or red fire in it. It made no noise and moved away in to the distance this was near Watson School.

Hey, my sister and I saw the exact same thing. She was walking home and witnessed two pairs of three bright orange/red lights ascend and disappear.
Both pairs moved in non-linear paths and interacted (moved at accelerating and decelerating speeds, crossed paths).
I personally witnessed the final two (eight counted total) which ascended at varying rates in non-linear fashion.
Before disappearing at the same altitude as the rest. The very last one faded out and then re-appeared for a second before vanishing.
I honestly believe these were UFO’s as there is no explanation I can conceive to explain their movement.
Attached are two pictures my sister captured. Both are from different locations on my block (she was walking home as she took them).
Another one of her friends also captured some images. I will send them over to you as soon as I receive them.
