Le britannique Gary mckinnon, bête noire de l’administration américaine, est poursuivi depuis plusieurs années pour avoir piraté une quantité impressionnante de serveurs officiels. 97 ordinateurs américains ont été ainsi piratés par ses soins via des failles dans Windows non colmatées. Des machines propriétés de la NASA, de l’armée dont la marine, de la défense, du Pentagone, etc., visitées pour certaines autour de la date du 11 septembre, excitant un peu plus la nervosité américaine.
