Hello, and happy New Year, I just found your site when looking for place to report sighting. I saw something tonight (around 20:15 Pacific), December 31, 2012.
In my life I have seen a few ‘unidentified flying objects’ but the two clearest in memory were this year, once in the summer at Shuswap Lake, and then tonight.
The one tonight was as I was driving home (in Victoria B.C.) in east to west direction and an object in the night sky caught my eye.
I thought at first ‘just an airplane’, but as I looked closer I thought it looked like something burning and thought maybe it was something someone sent up for New Year’s Eve.
As I watched it, it was moving in a even/precise manor, from north to south towards Port Angeles in Washington state. I actually pulled over to try an get better look.
Nearly as soon as I had it disappeared. There was a thick wintery cloud cover so maybe just went to them.
When I checked your site, one of the photos really looks like what I saw (DSCN4345_2.jp)! What’s up with these? It looks like there are lots of reports of similar on your page.
I happened to have a dash cam going, and it caught it (before I actually saw it), but it is not clear, mostly looks like a small dot of light, but it does show a bit of its path, and perhaps indication of size by objects in frame. Crazy?

Time: Evening.
I was at work and my coworker and I looked up at the sky and saw 1 burning orange light followed by 2 others, all probably about 20 seconds apart and one by one they disappeared.
This happened tonight (August 25th 2012). Pretty exciting to see, any idea what they are? I’m out by Erbsville in Waterloo by the way. Take care.

A Witness traveling east on Interstate 40 near Ludlow, California, reported to MUFON that they observed flaming debris falling from a cloud, which apparently set the desert ablaze.
The witness submitted the photo above.

Two clouds in air exploding, raining burning debris over desert: & orb
My wife, daughter and I were traveling east-bound on interstate 40 at approximately 2:30 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2012 about 10 miles west of Ludlow. I was driving and noticed off to the right (south of interstate)a cloud that was rapidly expanding and blowing off giant trails of hot burning debris all over the desert. The Cloud seemed to be about 500-1000 feet above the desert floor, stationary and literally exploding in mid-air. The cloud did not have a tragectory of any sort that we could tell, nor was there any vehicles, military aparratus, fire, or other human activity to explain the event. My Wife filmed the event as we traveled past and we have incredible footage. Pictures were also taken as we drove by. The only discernable object around the area was a bright white orb about the size of a large beach ball. It was intermittently in and out of the area surrounding the exploding white cloud. After viewing the footage we did find that an orb was captured in one of the several videos we took. As we continued east we took moore pictures, and notes as to mile markers on the freeway and to get some scale of the event we just witnessed. The cloud continued to expand to over a mile wide over the mountains as we drove away. We cannot make out what was behind, or rather inside the cloud at all. It was as-if something massive was exploding in another dimension, and spilling into ours.
