Researchers from fifteen UK research institutions have teamed up to search for extraterrestrial life.

Internationally renowned astrobiologist Professor Charles Cockell leads Edinburgh University’s UK Centre for Astrobiology (UKCA). According to Scottish newspaper The Scotsman, the UKCA will “spearhead Britain’s hunt for aliens – bringing together researchers from 15 institutions across the country.”
Cockell recently stated that, with all the new data available about other planets, “It’s become a lot easier to understand whether conditions on those planets are habitable and if life could exist there.”
A key instrument at the UKCA is a cutting-edge vacuum chamber capable of simulating atmospheric conditions on alien planets. Additionally, as the Scotsman explains, “Among the trailblazing technologies deployed will be a laboratory buried more than a kilometre underground in Boulby Mine, Yorkshire, which will enable the study of creatures living deep below the surface of the Earth.” Cockell describes that the Boulby International Subsurface Astrobiology Laboratory (BISAL) “is actually part of a lab that’s already there and being used for dark matter research. The mine itself, which is a salt mine, is also still in use and it’s very deep. You have things living in the salt which are unique.”
In addition to looking for life on other worlds, astrobiologists study life in general, exploring the origins of life, and researching the types of environments in which life as we know it can exist. Cockell points out, “It’s all about better knowledge of extreme environments in outer space based on extreme environments right here on Earth.” Salty environments have been found on Mars, and Cockell explains that, by studying the lifeforms existing in the deep salt mine in Yorkshire, scientists can gain insight into the types of life that may currently exist on Mars.
The BBC reports that the UKCA will officially launch on Tuesday, April 16. But the UKCA has been active since 2012. In early 2013, the UKCA offered an introductory astrobiology course through the online course provider Coursera. The course reportedly attracted 40,000 students from around the world.

Two polls were published this week, revealing how many Americans and British Columbians believe in various conspiracy theories, including UFOs.
Results from a poll conducted by Insights West in Canada’s province of British Columbia were published on April 1, which explored the conspiracy theory beliefs of British Columbians. An incredible 52% of the citizens polled believe UFOs exist.
A similar poll in the U.S. was conducted by Public Policy Polling, and it examined how democrats and republicans differ on conspiracy theory beliefs. The results, published on April 2, reveal that 21% of voters say a UFO crashed in Roswell, NM in 1947 and the US government covered it up. And 29% of voters believe aliens exist.

New polls are conducted regularly that ask about UFO beliefs, and the results always vary. A recurring problem with many of these polls is how the question is formulated. Most of these polls pose the question, “Do you believe in UFOs?” In most cases, the true question being asked by the polls is “Do you believe some UFOs are extraterrestrial?” But by asking the broad question “Do you believe in UFOs?” the results are less likely to be a true representation of people who believe in extraterrestrial UFOs.

I live in Campbell River Vancouver Island British Columbia and have had experiences like that person had. You wouldn’t believe I will not go into the woods alone anymore, not even in my truck.
I had my truck lifted and placed on the passenger side one night while parked waiting for a friend just north of the Strathcona Dam right on the Gold River Highway.
Whatever it was ran right back into the bush where it had come from and screamed exactly like the guys on the “Finding Bigfoot” show. I took off right away and called the police and all I got was laughed at since there was no damage done to my truck.

Vike Factor Note: An witness was kind enough to send along their video footage and photos with a sighting report over what was seen in their area. I was sent video files, first lower quality, and later high quality. One of the high quality video clips is 17mb, which I have posted here.
The other high quality video clip is over 60 mbs, and is a bit to large to post. In any case, the object can be seen hovering about when close to the tree, moving slightly back and forth if one looks closely.
Please keep in mind, the video and photos belong to the eyewitness.

Hi Brian, earlier today at approximately 11:53 a.m. I spotted a Y shaped bright streaky object in the sky over southern part of metro Vancouver (guessing Richmond?)
I noticed a streaky jet-like plane approaching it and I quickly grabbed my camera, but by the time I got it out, the jet-like streak was gone and I captured this video of the object which initially was Y-shaped now just hovering to the right of the tall tree.

Moments later as it floated behind the tree and out of sight, a huge murder of crows from northwest began flying in that direction and cawing loudly.
Please see video attached. I also have a 16 second video taken prior to this one, but I figure the object is more visible in this one. If you are interested, I can send you the other one.

I’ve attached zoomed in still photos of the video I previously sent you taken from my iPhone. If you replay the video, please pay attention to the area right of the tall tree in the middle of the screen.
I honestly believe they are appearing a lot more lately to make their disclosure more accepting.
Again, make note of the floating white orb right of the tall tree in the middle. This was quite a distance. I was near queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver and I would guess the orb was floating over Richmond/delta area.
Below: Large file – high quality video clip is 17mb. This is weird, when I received the footage I had to flip it upright as it was sideways. I am posting the correct file which is the upright version, but after all said and done, it’s back on it’s side. I am not a computer wiz.

Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.
About 9:00 p.m. this evening east by southeast of Royston, B.C. and approximately 800 meters from the beach and approximately 250 meters above the water I saw 4 medium bright white lights in a square configuration.
They were approximately 10 meters wide with a red light of varying brilliance moving quick and randomly within the parameter of the square. There was no sound.
I observed for approximately 45 seconds when it seemed to shrink and fade very slightly as if receding, then just disappeared.
