Hey saw the same thing, 5-6 bright fiery lights drifting across sky and them disappeared in Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

Time: 7:15 p.m.
I live in Kimberley, B.C. and that light felt from the sky at exactly at 7:15 p.m.
My ex wife came to pick up my daughter and we all seen it fall. There were 3 adults and my 7 old daughter.
It didn’t last long either, it stopped for a second, then kept going down and then disappeared.
This happen on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 7:15 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I just came out of the house at about 11:00 p.m. and I noticed a very obvious orange ball shape, like a ball of fire moving across the sky.
It appeared like a ball of fire floating across the sky in that there wasn’t a distinct form or outline to it. That is partly what caught my attention.
It was going at about the speed of a plane so I just watched it and it continued at the same speed for a few seconds and then slowed to a stop.
I continued to watch it as it was motionless, it appeared in distance to be just over Departure Bay (in Nanaimo, B.C.) and I was standing about 6 blocks away from the bay.
Once motionless it went from the fairly large ball of fire shape, slowly, maybe taking 5-10 seconds, to a tiny orange dot that appeared (for a few more seconds) like a star in the night sky. Then it was gone, just like that.
I wondered what the significance of this was, as I have never seen something like it before, so I decided to Google bright orange light in the sky over Nanaimo and this website came up.
So I wanted to share my experience. As a result of this experience I am going to take a look at some other posts about orange lights in the sky.

Was in a parking lot next to the Langley bypass and notice a white light almost directly above me, it was at least 1,000 feet up.
The weather had been quite foggy and it was just starting to break, you could still see the fog about half a mile away.
We get allot of air traffic in this area with the local airport, YVR air traffic lanes almost directly above, and medevac/police helicopters, so it’s not surprising to see movement up there.
What was different was this object made no noise and moved like a helicopter in a slow moving hover. It was moving slowly from east to west, and at first had no discernible shape, the single white light, went from dim to a very brilliant white.
At first I thought it was moving in and out of clouds causing the different intensities, but then the light went from the bright white to a very bright blue, almost neon like, and very intense, then it would go back to the paler white.
Once the object had passed overhead I could make out the shape as it headed toward the sun, the light was on the bottom of a cylindrical object. Can’t tell what size it would be, other than it would be as tall as a helicopter at that height.
I watched it for about five minutes before I lost it in the clouds to the west.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Weird falling object over Cranbrook BC, East Kootenays area.
Hi there, I was trying to Google to see if there was any news on what I saw fall out of the sky.
A friend and myself were standing outside in Cranbrook, B.C. facing north toward Kimberly B.C. We observed a large object and very bright blue in color, seeming to be glowing on the outer edge between green and blue.
The object seemed to be going straight down towards the ground .
It seemed to be sort of florescent, it also was moving very fast, it was not like any shooting star I had ever seen before as it seemed to have no fiery tail behind it.
It was round in shape and very bright blue color in the center, but seemed to be glowing on the outer edge between blue and green.
The object was very large in size. Distance seemed to be 20 miles away but hard to tell as it was moving very fast and straight down on a slight angle to the left (west) and we observed it from Cranbrook so it was north of us towards Kimberley, B.C.
It was not going across the sky like other meteors I have seen before with a tail behind it.
It was bright looking with bluish/green color on outer edge and bright blue through the rest. As I explained and it was going pretty fast. We observed it for about 3 to 4 seconds.
We were expecting to hear a big bang or something. As it seemed to heading towards land, but we lost sight of it as it got closer to the ground we lost view of because of the mountains, It was silent. Strangest thing I’ve ever seen.
It was not like any falling object I have observed in the past from time to time seeing what most call falling stars. Just curious if anyone had seen this object. Also if any idea what it could have been. Thank you.

A couple weeks ago, I was just at work and the shift was nearing end. I work at a car wash and as I was pulling a car out for a customer, I looked up in the sky probably about NW from where I was standing I saw a small bright orb in the the sky through the clouds.
The underneath of the orb was glowing bright as if it was some sort of thrusters on the bottom.
It blasted over the clouds and then curved to the right quickly and up a bit then it got really bright and disappeared into nowhere.
Last night also when I was driving my friend home. There was this massive bright blue flash that lit up the whole sky. It wasn’t lighting I don’t think, because the whole flashed bright blue.
This was around 10:00 p.m. central time on January 15, 2013.

The below follow-up was done by a fellow who is helping me out. It is greatly appreciated.
Both occurrences happened in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada the one on January 15, 2013 appeared to me a massive meteor burning up in the atmosphere, it was in the news the day after.
As for the first sightings saw , it was on a Friday around 7:30 p.m. There was a horizon of cloud and the object seemed to come out of the horizon of cloud which I know for sure was some sort of rocket, or something being propelled up.
It started out as like a bright dot in the sky with glowing blasts coming from around the bottom of it and as it cleared the horizon of cloud the thrusters seemed to turn off then it kind of flew to the right then got noticeably brighter for like a second and then it disappeared into nowhere, in the a blink of an eye.
The thruster were for sure some sort of blasting because I saw the bright dot and the bright glowing around the bottom of the object.
The top of it was just a round object it was very far up into the atmosphere.
It couldn’t have been a plane because it wasn’t going through any flight route. It looked like it blasted up and out of the atmosphere then disappeared. It was going very quickly for how far away it looked.
Usually if that was a plane, it would take a couple minutes for it go across the sky, but this was very quick I was very shocked when I saw it. Also to note once the object cleared the horizon the thrusters turned off and it seemed to glide up and out of the atmosphere.
As for the weather, it was getting dark and it was relatively clear. I tried telling my friend at work what I saw, and he didn’t believe me and told me that stuff doesn’t exist, but to be honest I feel like there is going to be some sort of visitation from some other species.
I think if they ‘re not here now, there getting close.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I live in the top floor of a 3-story apartment, with a mountain view to the north. My couch faces the glass door/big windows so my husband and I often sit and admire the view.
Tonight (around 8:30) I was sitting on my couch while on the phone with my mother, my husband was in the other room when suddenly what looked like a star appeared in the sky just above the tree-line (the sky was completely overcast so I knew it wasn’t actually a star).
I said aloud to my mother, “What is that?”, and as I was frantically calling my husband to come look, this thing had brightened (to about the size/brightness of the street light 2 blocks away), dimmed back into a “star”, brightened again, dimmed and then vanished (though never actually moved, it was completely stationary and looked as though the light had just been turned off).
My husband had just missed it! I was trying to describe the object to my husband and mother, my husband looking towards the area that I had seen it and then suddenly, in the same spot as before, the object flashed really bright for a second and disappeared for the final time, almost as if it were meant for my husband to see it.
This is our second UFO sighting together in Powell River in the last 3 years.
