Author: I was outside with my husband and we noticed what we thought was a beautiful star. We noticed that it was blinking brightly, red – blue – white – and gold. It was 11:25 pm, PST. We were sitting outside drinking a coffee. We looked closer, as none of the other stars were blinking these colors. It was closer than the other stars in the sky. We thought it might be an airplane but it was not moving at all. It never moved except to split itself and then come back together again. Several times in this 10 minute or so period, I could see that the ‘star’ or orbs would split up, with 4 different stars, different colors, and then they would go back together as one unit. The first thing that made us notice the object was because this star looked extremely brilliant in color. The actions and motions consisted more of bright blinking of red, blue, white, and gold or yellow, splitting apart and then coming back together as if it was one. The first thing we thought it was when we first noticed it was that it was a star. My first feelings were that it was an awfully bright star. Then we realized that it was multi-colored, we thought it might be an airplane. My second thoughts were that it was an UFO. We compared it to the other stars in the sky and they all appeared only white. Plus the objects were closer like we would see an airplane in the sky. I realized even more that it must be an UFO because of the approximate 4 times that I could see the object split away from itself into four different colored lights then back together. It faded out quickly and just disappeared.

Hi, Your not the only one, as I was drawing the curtains,my attention was drawn to this flashing thing in the sky, I thought initially this would be a helicopter, however stopped and just viewed for couple of minute and was just stationery, changing from red to white to blue? weird, Stupid of me yes, however got on the phone to the Met Office they must be thinking some mental idiot phoning 23:30 to report UFO sighting and they given me a UFO hotline number for the MOD, but eyes wonder what it might be, a constellation star, meteorite? who knows.
I SEE THE SAME MULTI COLORED STAR IN THE EASTERN SKY OVER CHINO, CA.
IT SEEMS TO BE NEAR THE BIG DIPPER. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS, BUT I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE SKIES A LOT MORE LATELY
I have been filming this object for some time now. It is in the eastern sky, right near the big dipper. I live in Nebraska. Whatever it is, it seems to be in INNER space… not outer space. I’ve seen other similar objects elsewhere in the sky, but this one is the brightest. It’s constantly changing shapes. It can look like a diamond/pyramid type spaceship, it can look like those novelty plasma balls, and sometimes it looks like an egg-shaped liquid metal that emits light. also, when i film it on the tripod you can visibly see it moving. in the same direction as the earth’s rotation. however, it moves too fast to be with the earth’s rotation – you would need a time-elapsed video/images to be able to see that. but sometimes it jumps around in the sky. sometimes it comes closer, at treetop height. My friend brought this thing to my attention, we are in NY. I’ve searched the internet for an explanation but cannot find anything. Ive noticed its in line with Orions belt. At first i thought he was crazy, but on some nights this thing is SOOOO bright. It distinctively flashes red, blue, green and sometimes other colors. He jumps to the UFO something watching us conclusion, while I would just really like an idea of what it might be. It is strange to say the least.
I saw one of these in Tucson, AZ last night. Almost exactly like joonipuur’s videos, but it was moving around a lot more. It wobbled and moved back and forth, then broke out into a string of 3 or 4 different lights, and then darted away pretty fast when I tried to look at it with binoculars.
These flashin lights are in the night sky of Pulaski,TN also!!! My sister Cherry has been seein them every night…I did not believe her until lastnight, I seen the flashin lights changin several colors anf flying around.Some look like they are about to hit one another than when the two meet one stops the other just keep flyin really fast! These lights are amazing!! Me and my sister just wants to know what they are!!!
currently in spain and last night saw an object/star which was multi coloured it stayed in the one place but there was a lot of movement around it another 2 or 3 stars and what looked like shooting stars around it, I also saw a plane go over it. stayed there for about 20 mins but don’t know how long it had been there before I saw it. the sky was dark but clear but all of a sudden and out of nowhere as far as I could see clouds covered the area. anyway would be interested to know if anyone else in spain saw this.
My wife and I were sitting in our living room at approx 10:30pm in Vancouver B.C. Canada and noticed these same multi colored flashing lights. It is a very clear night and we can cleary see the colors blinking. At first we too thought it was a plane or a star burning out, however as we looked closer through a pair of binoculars we could see that the object would split apart and then come back together. We too saw a plane fly over it which seems to disprove our first theory. It is something very interesting indeed. Has anyone looked at these with a telescope??
See the same thing in Penn Valley, Ca. in exactly the same spot in eastern sky most nights. It is not all ways there, but as Heather noted it does seem to follow the rotation albeit much faster than other stars, and it does move at times very quickly.
a few nights ago my fiance and I saw the same thing but much closer and in the north western skies, we could see the triangle shape. What the heck are we seeing?

It is all very strange. I’ve been seeing this object for over ten years now. At first I tripped out. Figured if I said anything id sound crazy. However, its very much out there! I too saw it last night 9/11. I’ve researched and nothing comes up so whatever it is obviously is not published to the public. My thought is, possible satellite that picks up movement by any kind. Like cell phones ECT. Hard to explain. Notice next time the movements mimic motion. Like I said hard to explain and sounds crazy. Who really knows.
I am in Hampton, Nebraska and I can see 4 of these things in the sky, they seem to move with the rotation of the earth and I figured they were satellites. The only thing that bothers me about them is that they flash very rapidly between the 4 colors, not like FAA lights on planes. From my home in the evening at about 10pm, I can see one to the west, 1 to the northeast, 1 to the southeast, and 1 to the south. I was in Iowa about a month ago and I was watchint the one to the ewst and I could have sworn I saw 2 white lights fall off of it. Could’ve been just a trick of the light, but very strange.
The bright star with the blinking/rotating white, green & red lights (due east @ 10-11 pm) me, my wife and my neighbor have been observing for over a year, maybe two. We are in the northeast 42.71 N x 72.41 W in Mass. No, that I didn’t think was to strange, maybe a direct TV or dish satellite? Because it followed the orbit, but then a while back a noticed a 2nd one due west opposite the first and last night 3/31/12 I found two more, 1 ESE, and 1 WSW opposite the first two??? I have also noticed some light colored yellow stars which I did some research & thought it was Venus, it appears yellow because of its sulfuric acid atmosphere, the problem is like the bright stars? its in the east sky. I talked to some of my engineering professors at school and was told 1, you cannot observe a satellite with the naked eye, too high and 2, they are not in the east sky they would be in the west sky. I was also told that is where you will see the planets, the west sky. And like the bright lights there are more & more of these yellowish stars. I ended up here because I’ve been looking all over for answers.
