Rambo meets Alien in this terrific science-fiction thriller from 1987, directed by John McTiernan just a year before Die Hard made him Hollywood’s most sought-after director of action-packed blockbusters. Arnold Schwarzenegger leads an elite squad of US Army commandos to a remote region of the South American jungle, where they’ve been assigned to search for South American officials who’ve been kidnapped by terrorists. Instead they find a bunch of skinned corpses hanging from the trees and realise that they’re now facing a mysterious and much deadlier threat. As the squad is picked off one by one, Arnold finds himself pitted against a hideous alien creature that’s heavily armed and wearing a spacesuit enabling the creature to render itself invisible. The title says it all in describing the relentless, escalating action that follows, maintained by McTiernan with an abundance of visual flair. The film’s special effects are still impressive, and stunning locations in the Mexican jungles create a combined atmosphere of verdant beauty and imminent danger. The plot doesn’t hold up to much scrutiny, but the movie’s so exciting and tightly paced that its weaknesses seem irrelevant. –Jeff Shannon, Amazon.com

absolute rubbish this is a lame brained rip of the far better aliens and first blood.this is full of bad acting and it also has a lousy script.avoid

The movie starts with a drug gang fighting the police in down town los angelis every thing seems to be going well until danny glover glover turns up and shoots most of the gangsters. when i first saw this movie i thought it was great and i still do and it may even be better then the first predator. THE film features explosions left to right lots of gore and even a dicapitation (by the predator)what more do you want?.

This certainly ranks highly among my favourite Arnie films.
It’s gory, it’s action packed and it has a really wierd looking alien in, complete with cool heat dependant vision.
Basically, Arnie gets stuck in the forest with this Predator thing and as it hunts him, he tries to kill it to survive. It really is excellent entertainment.
An added bonus is Apollo Creed! Yes that’s right, Carl Weathers is in it too! And there are also some great one liners from Arnie.
All Arnie fans will have seen this no doubt. But you’ve still gotta buy it!

Arnie , is in the jungle with his gang of special operations buddies when they find traces of something strange going on. People being strung up in trees and stories of a terrifying ghosts haunting the jungle…….
This is in fact an Alien hunter who has come to earth because we still allow hunting and hunts anything that moves….
Of course Arnie stays the course to outwit the beast in the battle of brawn and brawn…….
