Season 6 Episode 14 Part 2 Hosted by Leonard Nimoy and broadcast weekly from 1976 to 1982, In Search Of… is the greatest mystery documentary show ever. I grew up watching this show, enjoying the spine-tingling presentation of quasi-fact and dramatic synthesizer-heavy music of Rinder and Lewis. I am not selling this material, neither am I interested in buying bootlegs. It is currently commercially unavailable, so I am joining with others to make evaluation of this excellent series possible. Check my subscriptions to find users with more episodes, and drop me a note if you have posted any “new” ones. Thanks for watching!

I wouldn’t want a chip in my brain unless I needed it to keep me alive.

You don’t want to stop aging or even slow it down considerably. This would cause unbelievable overpopulation which would have horrible effects on the planet, animals, and people.

Dr. Walford has a great moustache, it has to be said.

us living to 180 yrs old will be a death sentence for planet earth. not enough people dying, and you have a 70-90 yr period when you can have kids. there are certainly people who will have children for the entirety of those reproductive yrs. now, we only have the time to have 3-4 children, comfortably. in this future, you could have your kids in waves. have a couple in your early 20s, a few more in your mid 40s, even more in your late 60′s and once again in your 80s. that’s just too much!

The computer chip in the brain, sort of, in 2008, it was an experimental “pace maker” for people with severe epilepsy.

    Love this show.
Yeah, I don’t wanna wait til I’m 90 to have a kid. First off, to old to have a kid, second, by the time the kid is going to college, I’m dead.

    Great – thanks for posting!

  • Cosmoline:

They didn’t seem to understand that people don’t really need to go live in space in large numbers. Why would we? It’s extremely dangerous and increasingly pointless as robotic probes get more and more sophisticated. I think we’re staying put for a long time to come.
