Author: First, I want to say that I spent my entire childhood in Alaska and know very well what fog refraction, Aurora borealis lights (which brighten the sky during the night), red moon, red tides, midnight stars and a dozen other night lights in the sky, but this was very different. It was shortly past midnight, when the living room’s glass door seemed to have a spot light shining on it. The light was so bright that it was shining off my ceiling and onto the kitchen cabinets (no small feat). I noticed all three animals I own were acting very strange, our dog was hovering on the couch, growling very low like he was afraid to actually growl or bark as he would normally if anything was outside. Our cat huddled on the floor behind my husband’s shoes, so just his nose and ears were above the rim of the sneakers. He flattened his ears and was staring at the door that he is normally staring out or trying to sneak out (earlier I had let the dog out for his nightly routine and there was nothing strange about the night and our cat tried as usual to sneak out on me). I called him several times before he literally jumped into the air and spun around to stare at me with huge eyes. We also have a dwarf rabbit who was frantically clawing at the bottom of her cage, as if trying to bury herself. The light seemed very steady and bright, so I walked over to look outside. The night sky was lit up like it was daytime, except the clouds (there was broken cloud cover last night, but the moon was in its’ waning crescent phase) had the shadows of the building near us and the trees around us, but there was absolutely NO fog last night. It was as if there was a giant beam of light in the southern sky that was being refracted off the ground and causing everything to shadow on the atmosphear in the northern sky. I know this because I actually opened the doors and walked out onto the patio. I was standing there looking around me wondering what in the world was going on, when I noticed that the entire night was void of any sounds, no animals or insects like would be normal for this time of year, no helicopters or planes landing, not even any cars going past…nothing, but silence. Now, I’m normally not frightened by the night time. In fact, I love the nights here in Oregon, but this time I felt a choking sensation, became sick to my stomach and a little dizzy, it reminded me of being in line behind a car with very bad exhaust and being choked, sickened and dizzy, except there was absolutely no odor in the air. So I returned to my seat on the couch. After which, I noticed the television signal (we have directv) kept breaking up until I just turned it off, then I noticed that the VCR lights went brighter and dimmer. The light outside went from normal white type light to a yellow haze, then to an orange color. I watched the light for somewhere between 25 and 55 minutes (I’m not certain because although I recall looking at the VCR clock when it all began, I can’t recall what time it was). Although I returned to the couch, I kept a steady eye on the light outside coming from nowhere. I felt a strange tightness rising in my chest and my heart was beating heavily. I grew up with fog, night lights that are organic and man made, but this was like nothing I’ve ever seen! I can’t seem to recall the exact time it began, although I do recall looking at the clock on our VCR, but the next time I looked it was 12:49 a.m., by 12:58 it was gone, just like that it disappeared leaving the normal night time darkness. I am not one to loose my cool and get shook up over very much, because growing up in AK, I saw some very odd stuff, red moons, red tides, lights reflected off of heavy fog that looked doubley bright, but this was like nothing else I’ve ever seen and I’m no spring chicken either. I’ve been chased by bears, even had a shark swim between my legs after a salmon one summer and never was as scared as I was last night. And just in case there are those who may want to believe I was asleep and some how dreaming this, you can forget it because I didn’t fall asleep until morning broke at 5:20 a.m. and I felt certain the thing was gone. I’m wondering if anyone else out there saw the night sky and the strange bright lights.

To describe the conditions this morning, it was a clear sky, i.e. no clouds in the sky (just the blue sky). Weather conditions were, 28-29 degree centigrade, no wind or dust in the atmosphere and low humidity conditions. It was bright as the sun was up already, hence no chances of any mistakes.
I am an Indian national living with my wife in Sharjah (United Arab Emirates). Every morning I drive my wife to work, since the last five years. We take the same route every day, which is a very short one, on the path of which I can recognize all the structures.
This morning, i.e. 6:50 AM (30th May 2011), I was driving my wife to work, when I stopped at a big round-about to go left. I was looking towards my left hand side where I was checking for passing by vehicles, when my eyes met this really shiny object just hovering at an approximate height of 300-350 ft. This object was simply hovering without any noise or movement. It was really shiny, the texture which could be best described like that of stainless steel surface (because of the factor as to how the sun light was bouncing off of it). It just hung there, when my wife also saw it. The object was a typical disc shaped, saucer like UFO. I could tell it was a disc-shaped object as it just on its side just for a bit revealing the shape. I witnessed it for nearly 20 seconds, with me and my wife sitting in my car at the round-about just staring at it when it simply just disintegrated into thin air, it just vanished right in front of our eyes. Earlier I have always noticed certain huge round shaped shadows being casted ton the ground, just to look up and see nothing. Also, other phenomenon like strange sky scars that cannot be formed by any AirPlane. It was very phenomenal for us to witness a UFO for the first time in our lives. Unfortunately, since I was in my car with the engine on, I could not get a chance to grab a picture of it, also because I was dumb-struck just looking at it.
It was no weather phenomenon, no visual trick, no planet, no blimp, no swamp gas, nothing else but a UFO.

I was fishing with a friend who also witnessed the exact same occurrence and we immediately were fixated by an unusual circle of white light that appeared over the mangroves. Facing Cairns, the light that initially we believed to be a satellite soon began performing aerial movements that we both agreed were abnormal and beyond the scope of relative physics and gravity.
Coming from horizon over Yarrabah and moving towards the right hand side of Cairns, its trajectory angled over the south of Cairns in an atmospheric curve. As it travelled its path, the light was simultaneously moving from left to right, and this motion is best described as an arc moving between a consistent 90 degree circumference. This dual movement (forward thrust and sideways arc swing) seemed to have separate individual constant velocities. As the object moved higher above the horizon, it felt as if it was moving towards the Tablelands. I can attest that this object was not flashing but swinging side to side through space whilst travelling forward. I witnessed this swinging action occur up to 12-15 times (eg. Left to Right = 1 swing)
On the object?s last dual movement it came to a complete and controlled halt and hovered in this position for about 10 seconds.
The object then propelled up from its stationary position to a point in space. This was a completely different trajectory and the object changed from following the trajectory of the Earth/atmosphere to propelling up, out and beyond. When the object had stopped, it resembled a distant star that was almost parallel. The speed and distance that I perceived during this secondary flight phase was fluid and direct, furthermore this particular action has been most difficult to comprehend. From my perspective, this movement appeared to be calculated and precise. It seemed the object went from its stationed position to a point almost beyond our atmosphere in matter of approximately 1 second. The object stopped with precision and there was no streak, but instead the object became endlessly smaller as it travelled an uncomprehensable distance. From my observations, the object stayed in this position for approximately 4 minutes. Following this, I witnessed the object flash off & on and then about 20 seconds later, it repeated this gesture. There was no more movement until the sky became cloudy and all visibility was lost.
There was no apparent sounds coming from the object and it never changed shape through its course of travel. It appeared to become larger only when the object came closer and this was relative to perspective and was not a growth from its original size. As it travelled its second flight phase, distance between the object and my position grew exponentially large thus its roundness was lost. It appeared as a starry light in the far away distance.
I have estimated the size of the object to be between 20 to 45 metres in diametre.
I would like to emphasise that I clearly witnessed the object as it travelled through both phases and the distance it travelled during the second phase is perplexing. For example, it looked and felt as if the object had actually travelled from Earth to another solar system. Bear in mind the secondary flight phase only lasted around a second, but the way the object reached the destination was extraordinary. Its flight path began well within Earth’s stratosphere and it zoomed into space to become a star-like figure. During this occurrence, I felt as if I had witnessed the entire journey in slow-motion, but the reality was this was almost immediate. This felt unusual because no matter how much I try to recall this particular flight scenario it is impossible for me to recollect completely and understand the distance I was shown on the night. Even now the event is extremely vivid but I have no concept of time versus travel for the second phase and I find it impossible to properly understand, however I do believe there is technology currently unfounded and our current scientific laws of physics and gravity are not constants.
I have attempted to give anybody that reads this report a complete, true and honest interpretation of a possible UFO sighting. If anyone else was able to witness this event I would love to hear your interpretation and comments.
A perfect round light with powerful movements, purposeful and accurate it’s actions were mesmerising, but somehow belittling.

In the latter half, Richard Lang, Director of ARIRA (Aerospace Research Investigation Reporting Agency), talked about his investigation of UFOs.
I went outside early in the morning after having saw a particularly bright star from my bedroom window as I laid in bed watching online TV. In any event, I decided to go outside and smoke a cigarette while checking the water level in our pool (we are currently filling it up after replacing the liner). Then I saw a similar thing to what I had seen last night. But this time, the object seemed to be much lower with another point of light connected to it. Basically, the object slowly floated towards the horizon–the East–as light was just beginning to come with the dawn. About 20 seconds after it faded slowly into the sky (not the horizon). Also, the whole time the two objects stayed equidistant from one another.
Honestly, I have no idea what the objects were. The light was completely steady and white for the whole time–except as it dimmed. Certainly, not flashing like airplane lights though.
My reactions were basically just one of awe because I didn’t expect to see something again like the anomalous object I viewed the previous night. This time it was much more interesting though. Again, these objects moved slowly as if floating through the sky to the East as dawn was breaking.
