It appears that Scottish UFO hacker Gary McKinnon may have regained some hope in his fight to avoid extradition to the United States. During a joint press conference today with Britain’s prime minister David Cameron and U.S. president Barack Obama, ITV News Political Editor Tom Bradby asked the President and the Prime Minister about the McKinnon case. According to ITV News, the President responded that the issue is “in the hands of the British legal system.”
In response to this news, Janis Sharp, McKinnon’s mother, posted the following message to her Twitter account: “Obama said on TV with Cameron, Happy to let UK make extradition decision and U.S will abide by it. #FreeGary.”
McKinnon and Sharp had their hopes raised last year when Obama stated that the U.S. would find an “appropriate solution” to the situation. But just two weeks ago, those hopes were crushed when U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder vowed to take all necessary steps to extradite McKinnon. Following today’s developments, however, there is renewed hope that McKinnon will be allowed to remain in the UK.
McKinnon is accused of hacking into U.S. federal and military computers, perpatrating the “biggest military computer hack of all time.” McKinnon says he was looking for evidence of UFOs.

NASA has given up trying to reestablish communication with the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit. The space agency has attempted to regain communication with Spirit since contact was lost on March 22, 2010. NASA was hopeful that, as solar energy increased on Mars, Spirit would become active again. But sadly, this did not happen, and Spirit remains silent.
According to NASA, “Engineers’ assessments in recent months have shown a very low probability for recovering communications with Spirit,” so they have given up on Spirit and have shifted focus to Curiosity, a new Mars rover scheduled for launch in November 2011.
Spirit’s six-year residency on the red planet resulted in “127,000 raw images of the Martian surface, including 16 color, 360-degree panoramas,” and provided “invaluable data on the planet’s geology,” according to Popular Science.

Was looking out our picture window leaning on the back of the couch with my face up against the glass just star gazing and I just happen to notice some movement in the sky so I focused on the movement and it was three lights in a triangle formation moving slowly across the sky didnt really know what to think at first so I just kept watching for about a minute then decided I wanted someone else to see this so my mother was in the kitchen in the next room ,I didnt want to lose it so I got a really good fix on where it was and the direction and speed it was moving and quickly jumped off the couch ran to the corner and yelled at my mom to come quickly and look at something and returned to the couch in just a couple seconds put my face back at the window and found the object almost imediately as soon as I focused back on it the formation stopped and as soon as it stopped it took off up and at a slight angle out of sight in the blink of an eye, it left so fast that it left a light trace for an instant it was quite amazing and my mother never made it in time to see it, I was 12 or 13 at the time and now I am 50 and I can still remember it like it was yesterday I knew even at that age that it was something not from this world so it profoudly changed the way I think about things, I think thats why I’m so inteterested in the sciences it made me think outside the box and have wondered about it ever since. I also had a day time sighting last summer.
