It was about 10:40 something at night when My band and I just got back to home base in Darien, IL. My van was parked backwards in the driveway, and we began to unload our equipment out of the truck. As I took out and set down my amplifier, I looked towards the southwest sky, where I saw right by the moon were five slow moving orange lights, gravitating towards the southern sky. They seemed to be in a delta triangle position. If I were facing south, they would be going from my right to directly in front of me. Originally, I had no idea what to think. Definitely not airplanes, but they way they were in position made me think of some type of armada.
I immediately called the rest of the gang, who were all astonished to see the same thing. Within about 45 seconds, they left the triangle shape and began dispersing, and one by one they began to disappear, in the southern sky. WE followed them for about a minute thirty seconds tops.
Almost immediately afterwards we heard loud boom like explosions. We attributed them to the Woodridge jubilee festival going on a town over.

Amazing video of a Cylindrical UFO caught on Camera by Colorado resident Tim Edwards. The object supposedly “darted around”, displayed a pulsating light effect and at times appeared disc shaped and was seen by multiple witnesses.

SALIDA UFO SEEN IN CALIFORNIA AND NEW MEXICO THAT SAME DAY
On August 27, 1995, Tim Edwards stepped out of his (restaurant ?) in Salida, Colorado and spied a flattened white disk hovering in the sky. He got out his videocam and shot several minutes of superb UFO footage. The video has been described as “authentic” by Village Labs, a video analysis firm in Glendale, Arizona.
Now others have come forward and claimed to have seen the same UFO in their community on August 27. In Deming, New Mexico, passengers on a Greyhound bus looked out their windows and saw the white disk pacing them.
At 8:40 a.m. on August 27, a white oblong object appeared in the eastern sky of Sacramento, California. The morning sun glimmered off its metallic surface. It moved leisurely back and forth in the sky for about ten minutes. During this time, approximately 20 cars pulled off the highway on Interstate 80, and the motorists got out to have a better view of the strange object. Then it darted away toward the eastern horizon.
Later that morning, at 11:30 a.m., three more residents of Sacramento reported seeing the same UFO near the freeway, just above the Watts Avenue exit. Channel 3 TV reportedly aired video footage of the UFO on its 6 p.m. newscast August 27.

REPORT ON THE SALIDA VIDEO

On Sunday, August 27, 1995, at 9:30 AM Tim Edwards of Salida, Colorado, was a witness to a strange aerial object first observed by his young daughter. He described the initial appearance as a slightly arced pencil size object darting around….. approximately 20 degrees west of the sun. At times it appeared more triangular or boomerang shaped on top. As he watched it he realized it wasn’t anything usual so he got his 8 mm videocamera with a 8 power zoom. He began to film it and then the battery light came on so he went inside and got another battery. He also called his restaurant in Salida to alert other possible witnesses. One of these people did see it (see below). Some minutes later his father arrived at his house and looked at the object through binoculars. Edwards also called a local radio station to alert others to look. Apparently someone did look, but couldn’t see the object because it was too close to the sun. Edwards also called the sheriffs office, a fact confirmed by the sheriff on Sept. 7. The sheriffs office had received no other reports. He also called the National UFO Reporting Hot Line number given to him by the sheriff’s office. Between phone calls he filmed the object, managing to obtain only about 6 minutes of video during the roughly 1 hour sighting.
According to Edwards, he and his father, using binoculars, could clearly see a double row of square or rectangular red and then to light green lights moving left to right and then back again. The structure width in between was probably equal to 1/2 – 1 row of the lights. …. We were looking at a disc, circular in shape.. We lost sight of it more than once when it flew into the rays of the sun… it was approximately the width of the full moon….With binoculars the craft looked like a very large circular disc, cigar shaped and outside structure appeared to gyroscope around inner structure.

“In this presentation, we will be taking a closer look at a very interesting piece of amateur video footage shot in Salida, Colorado back in 1995 by a man named Tim Edwards, showing an unidentified flying object in the sky.
Since Mr. Edwards first shot this footage, it has been shown in several different television and film documentaries that deal with the UFO phenomenon – and with good reason in my opinion. This was a clear sky, broad daylight sighting (approx 9:30am local time), providing Mr. Edwards with excellent seeing/filming conditions at the time. Not only does the footage provide us a decent look at the unidentified object(s) in the sky, but in addition, there were also multiple confirmed eyewitnesses to this incident as well, including Mr. Edwards young daughter (who was the first to sight the UFO in the sky and draw her father’s attention to it). The other eyewitnesses provide powerful supporting testimony that should effectively nullify any concerns anyone may have regarding the possibility of this footage being a hoax. It is indeed authentic footage of a confirmed unidentified flying object caught on video.
As you will see in this presentation, the raw footage of this incident suffers from significant camera shake due to the unavoidable fact that Mr. Edwards did not have access to a tripod at the time and the camera lens was zoomed in @ 8x to allow for high magnification filming of the UFO. The application of image stabilizing techniques to compensate for the camera shake can therefore afford us an improved, cleaner look at what I feel should be already considered as some impressive footage.
The copy of the Edwards footage I used as the Alpha source file in this presentation was acquired from a History Channel television documentary dealing with the UFO phenomenon. I chose this particular version of the Edwards footage to serve as the Alpha source file simply because it was the best quality copy I was able to obtain.
In this presentation, I broke the footage into two different segments, labeled as Sequence #1 and Sequence #2. The first sequence is a 14.5 second portion of the footage that shows both the UFO in the sky as well as a near-field stable object in frame – the edge of the roof of the building that Edwards was standing beside at the time of filming can be seen throughout the duration of this sequence on the lower right side of the field-of-view (FOV). Because of this, I elected to do two different stabilized versions of sequence#1.
Version A of sequence #1 targets the UFO itself, locking it in place in the FOV by correcting for any camera motion along both the X and Y axises (left-right/up-down).
Version B of sequence #1 is an “X-axis only” (left/right) stabilizing correction that ignores the UFO and instead targets the edge of the roof visible on the right side of the FOV. No attempt was made to correct along the Y-axis here (up/down) even though there clearly is up/down camera shake occurring, and the reason for that is because there is simply no discernible feature visible along the edge of the roof that can be used to determine the required Y-axis corrections. It appears as if the corner of the roof does come into view for a split second at the bottom of the FOV in sequence#1, but it is not visible long enough to exploit for positioning data, so was ignored. Rather than attempt to determine Y-axis corrections using the UFO movement for that data, I instead elected to just show only the X-axis fix in that version.
Sequence #2 is a 13 second segment of footage showing the UFO that does not have the edge of the roof visible in the FOV. For this sequence, I show the raw footage with a picture-in-picture stabilized and contrast enhanced view of the UFO, followed by a magnified version of the same scene as well.
I did not attempt to make any Z-axis (rotational) stabilizing corrections at all in this presentation because by my estimation, the exclusion of these rotation corrections did not in any way negatively influence the viewability of the scene. Several interpolated/blur frames were deleted from the final renderings of each stabilized example in an effort to clean that motion-corrected footage up as much as possible.

I am an experienced astronomy hobbiest, using a telescope I observed an oval disc, looked metallic in color, definitely not a plane, or commercial airliner. Through telescope my wife and myself could make out an oval shape which changed colors,
it was very small in the telescope, but had a definite oval shape, moved without sound.
I thought it could have been a satellite, (but these are very hard to see in daylight hours) but the trajectory was not in a linear path, and using Starry Night Software it was confirmed that no satellites were scheduled for the time in question.
Not sure what is was, and just wanted to get this reported in case others saw the same thing. While using the internet I noted a similar object was observed in Texas on June 17, 2010.
This is the first time in 30 yrs I have ever seen anything that I couldn’t immediately explain.
Not as exciting as the Bollide I saw a few years ago, but this was definitely more strange.
